Are you or do you know a high schooler who wants to win a $2,000 scholarship? An extra edition of our IDEA Bank Buzz is brought to you to feature our upcoming High School Entrepreneurship Summer Camp!
The IDEA Bank is excited to have applications open for our upcoming inaugural Entrepreneurship Summer Camp in partnership with the Wiregrass Resource and Conservation Development Council and the Troy University Small Business Development Center.
The camp is a 1-week program for young aspiring entrepreneurs (grades 9-12) to learn what it takes to successfully turn an idea into a profitable business. The camp will provide high school students with technical training, hands-on activities, and real-life leadership opportunities while fostering creativity, innovation, confidence, and idea development. The camp will kickoff on Monday, July 17th at the IDEA Bank.
The week will lead up to a pitch competition, where students will use what they've learned to pitch their product or service to a diverse panel of judges. The pitch competition is an event open to the public on the morning of Saturday, July 22nd. The winner of the pitch competition will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship to Troy University!
Applications for the camp will close on Friday, June 16th. For more information about the Entrepreneurship Summer Camp, scroll down to read our FAQs or click here. For additional questions, email ideabank@troy.edu or call Mauree Alice Porter at 334-808-6777.
