This summer marks our 4th annual Just Start High School Entrepreneurship Summer Camp! We’re prepping for another year of fun, innovation, and meaningful connections! Taking place July 14th–19th, this week-long experience is designed for high school students ready to dive into the world of entrepreneurship, turn ideas into action, and connect with like-minded peers from across the region. Launched in April 2025, the Innovate Alabama Talent Pilot Program is a new grant initiative designed to support innovative, for-profit programs that strengthen Alabama’s talent pipeline—especially those focused on work-based learning and rural impact. With up to $350,000 in funding available per recipient, this program aims to identify demonstratable and scalabale solutions to workforce and talent development in the state of Alabama.
In April, we concluded our 3rd Annual Marketing Competition by awarding an advertising bundle valued at over $2,000 to this year’s winner: Gabby Jent. Gabby is a senior at Troy University from Jasper, Alabama, and the owner of Gabby J. Photography—a business dedicated to capturing life’s moments.

Creators from Student-Made Troy took part in this year’s TroyFest Arts & Crafts Festival in Downtown Troy on April 26th–27th. The event proved to be another year of great success, with strong sales and support from the community. Participating creators gained valuable hands-on experience in customer service and business promotion.
